ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Sarah and I am passionate about helping young people overcome hurdles and have a happier and more fulfilling life. It's not an easy time to grow up in, and some young people go through really difficult situations that even adults would struggle to manage. I know that coming to therapy can feel quite a daunting experience, and that's why I aim to provide treatment that is evidence based to aid alleviating symptoms, but in a relaxed, non-judgemental, and collaborative way.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, walking in the countryside with my dogs (running on the odd occasion!), travelling and enjoying good food.

I have over 10 years of experience as a Social Worker in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services,  including both inpatient and in the community. I completed my PostGraduate Diploma in 2019 qualifying me as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

I continue to work in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services within the NHS alongside providing private therapy.

My experience includes working with a variety of mental health disorders, including trauma, depression, low mood, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, exam stress and more. My biggest passion is working with lived experiences of trauma, this includes trauma from relationships, childhood abuse, sexual harm, online abuse and more.
